China has built the longest high-speed railway

In China, on December 26 of 2012, officially started work speed railway between two major cities - Beijing and Guangzhou.

The total length of railway lines - 2,200 km. Now, passengers will be able to overcome the distance between the two largest, along with Shanghai, Chinese cities in 8 hours, while previously it took almost a day - 22 hours.
By 2015 it is planned to build another four similar lines, thus reaching a total length of high-speed railway lines in 18,000 miles.
